  • Image of Botanical Balance and Harmony: A Yoga-Inspired Floral Experience January 6, 2019

Date: Sunday, January 6, 2019
Time: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Location: The Barn of Chapel Hill at Wild Flora Farm

Join us in starting the new year off the right way with a relaxing and self-centering 45-minute yoga class with instructor Jane Howard Crutchfield. After refueling with Clean Juice smoothies and drinks, participants will create their very own floral masterpiece inspired by Ikebana, the ancient Japanese art of flower arranging.

Jennifer Wood, Wild Flora Farm Creative Director and Florist, will lead workshop participants in Ikebana elements of design, with a special emphasis on movement and flow when designing in a low vessel. Arranging flowers has always been considered a way of harmonizing with the natural world, and Ikebana, in particular, highlights the search for balance between opposites.

No prior floral design experience is needed--this workshop is perfect for all ages! A professional photographer will be on-hand to capture all the fun, and each participant will receive a photo of themselves with their floral arrangement.

All floral materials, tools, and vessels provided. Please come in comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.
